This representation of the Concorde works best with light-weight paper. Start with a leter size sheet.

Instructions

1. Fold the paper exactly in half about the long edge. Unfold after the crease has been made.

2. Fold the upper left corner down so the upper left point hits the center line crease. When folded correctly, the left half of the top edge should line up with the center line crease.

3. Fold the upper right corner down so the upper right point hits the center line crease. When folded correctly, the right half of the top edge should line up with the center line crease.

4. Fold the top point down so it hits the right edge of the paper just above the lower right corner point. When folded correctly, the upper right diagonal edge should line up with the right edge of the paper.

5. Unfold the flap just created.

6. Fold the top point down so it hits the left edge of the paper just above the lower left corner point. When folded correctly, the upper left diagonal edge should line up with the left edge of the paper. Unfold after the crease has been made.

7. Fold the paper in half about the existing center line crease.

8. Rotate the paper around so the pointed end points down and to the right.

10. Unfold the flap just created. Rotate the paper around to the nose points down. Unfold the paper about the center line crease so it is flat on the working surface.

9. Make a crease to fold the top point down. The right point of the crease should be where the existing diagonal creases hit the right edge of the paper. The left point should be about a finger width down from the upper left corner of the paper.

11. Make a crease to fold the bottom point up so the bottom point hits the center line crease. The new crease created for the fold should go through the points formed by the existing diagonal creases in the center of the paper.

12. Flip the paper over and rotate it around so the flap just created is underneath and the pointed triangular flap points to the left.

13. Lift the top flap up and bring the lower left corner point in towards the middle. Bring the lower right point up and to the left while pressing the two triangular flaps in the middle down. This opens a pocket up above the plane's main body.

14. Bring the upper left point of the topmost flap back down while pushing the inner triangular flaps in and to the left. When folded correctly, the inner two triangular flaps should be completely hidded from view.

15. Rotate the paper around so the fold just created is at the top.

16. Lift the top flap up and bring the lower right corner point in towards the middle. Bring the lower left point up and to the right while pressing the two triangular flaps in the middle down. This opens a pocket up above the plane's main body.

17. Bring the upper right point of the topmost flap back down while pushing the inner triangular flaps in and to the right. When folded correctly, the inner two triangular flaps should be completely hidden from view.

18. Flip the plane over and rotate it around so the flaps just created are underneath and the nose points up.

19. Make a crease to fold the bottom point up so the center line creases line up. The left and right point's new crease should hit the upper left and right points at the edges of the paper.

20. Rotate the paper around so the nose points up.

21. Make a crease to fold the left point over towards the middle of the paper. The top point of the crease should be at the nose tip and the bottom point should be at the indented point formed by the two flaps on the left edge of the paper.

22. Unfold the flap just created.

23. Fold the right point of the left inside triangular flap over so it hits the left inside diagonal crease. When folded correctly, the right edge of the left inside triangular flap should line up with the left inside diagonal crease.

24. Fold the inner left point in about the existing diagonal crease to cover the left outside triangular flap.

25. Make a crease to fold the right point over towards the middle of the paper. The top point of the crease should be at the nose tip and the bottom point should be at the indented point formed by the two flaps on the right edge of the paper.

26. Unfold the flap just created.

27. Fold the inner left point of the right triangular flap over so it hits the right inside diagonal crease. When folded correctly, the left edge of the inner right flap should line up with the right inside diagonal crease.

28. Fold the inside right point in about the existing diagonal crease to cover the outer right triangular flap.

29. Make a crease to fold the left point of the top-most flap in to the middle of the paper. The bottom point of the new crease should be at the point formed by the existing flaps in the lower left part of the paper. The top point should be at the point where the flap being folded hits the left diagonal edge of the paper.

30. Unfold the flap just created.

31. Make a crease to fold the right point of the top-most flap in to the middle of the paper. The bottom point of the new crease should be at the point formed by the existing flaps in the lower right part of the paper. The top point should be at the point where the flap being folded hits the right diagonal edge of the paper.

32. Unfold the flap just created.

33. Flip the paper over and rotate it around so the flaps just created are underneath and the nose points to the right. Fold the paper in half about the existing center line crease. Be sure to line up the wing flaps for good balance.

34. Rotate the plane around so the nose is pointing down and to the right.

35. Make a crease to fold the tip of the nose down. When folded correctly, the tip of the nose will point straight down from the base of the fuselage. The tip of this flap should be about a finger's width below the fuselage.

36. Unfold the flap just created.

37. Unfold the plane about the existing center line crease.


38. Fold the plane in half again about the existing center line crease but this time bring the tip of the nose down as the wing flaps come together. When folded correctly, the flaps are created by the nose tip fold should fall on the outside of the fuselage.

39. Rotate the plane around so the nose is pointing to the left and the wing flaps are pointing down.

40. Make a crease for the first wing flap. The left point of the crease should be at the bottom of the nose tip flap and the right point should be about two finger widths down on the tail from the base of the fuselage.

41. Flip the plane over so the first wing flap is underneath.

42. Fold the second wing flap down. Be sure to line up the wing flaps for good balance.

43. Open the wing flaps and adjust the wing angles so they are even. Set the dihedral angle slightly up. Fold the small vertical under the main wings down so there are just off vertical towards the outside of the fuselage. A piece of tape across the top is useful but not necessary.

THE THROW Add some up elevator before launching. Then throw should be medium and level. When well trimmed, this craft can also be launched straight up with a moderate throw. Adjust the vertical stabilizers under the wings to reduce drag and increase speed.
